Patrick Kiniry became the District Attorney of Cambria County on December 30, 2005 to complete the term of then Judge-elect David Tulowitzki and was elected to a four year term that began in January, 2008. His legal career has spanned over 34 years.


  • 1993 - Patrick Kiniry is recognized for his achievements as a prosecutor when he was accepted as a fellow in the American Academy of Prosecuting Attorneys following nomination by Governor Robert Casey.
  • 2008 - Patrick Kiniry is recognized with an award for outstanding contributions to the Cambria County Justice System from the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

  • 1973 - Patrick Kiniry practiced as a public defender in the State and Federal Court Systems.
  • 1976 - Patrick Kiniry appointed assistant district attorney by then-District Attorney Gerald Long.
  • 1986 - Gerald Long´s predecessor, District Attorney Timothy Creany appoints Patrick Kiniry to first assistant District Attorney, a position he maintained through the term of District Attorney David Tulowitzki.
  • 2005 - Patrick Kiniry appointed Cambria County District Attorney to complete the term of David Tulowitzki who had been elected judge.
  • 2008 - Patrick Kiniry sworn in to a four-year term as District Attorney following his victory.

Pat and his wife Susan have three children and live in Richland Township. Pat is a member of the parish finance committee at St. Benedict's Church.
